This work utilized the existing surrounding of the Vancouver Island coastline. The biodegradable materials used were intentionally chosen to achieve optimum harmony and safety. The concrete mount surfaced in Nanaimo's Departure Bay only at a certain time of day. The tide came in way faster than I anticipated and made for a rushed assembly in wet shoes. However, the water played as key interaction in creating a beautiful montage of a temporary sculpture. Here are a few clips of the progression of the completed work.
